Create Baltimore is “a gathering of people building creative community.” Organized by Scott Burkholder, Andrew Hazlett, J. Buck Jabaily, and Dave Troy, this year’s un-conference was held at the University of Baltimore on Jan 21, 2012. It’s an important event in Baltimore. Not just because of the discussions and the networking, but because as a participant you can identify folks who are interested in the same stuff you are. It’s a powerful tool in a close-knit community of doers in Baltimore. My only complaint: We need more diversity at these kinds of things. I highly recommend getting involved with Create Baltimore, follow them, join their Google group, and definitely go next year.

A small group of us ended up at the after-after party at the Owl Bar and 13th Floor in the The Belvedere Hotel where we celebrated new visions for Baltimore on the dance floor.
