The Creator

After earning an honors philosophy degree, a young travel writer found a front row seat at the collapse of old world media. A journalist-turned-marketing-professional, she was inspired by the digital realm as a platform for expression, community-building and transparency. She fancies herself a creative entrepreneur, always working in that powerful space at the intersection of art and technology. So far, she’s founded two start-ups: What Weekly, an award-winning web magazine, and Brooke Hall Creative, a pioneering custom media company with a reputation for its ideas and boundless energy.
Justin Allen

The Sage

Justin pulls from a diverse array of experiences, from working with wireless technology to prototyping medical devices. He’s named as an inventor on multiple patents and has been published in the Journal of Medical Physics. Justin has played an instrumental role in three distinct start-ups including a biomedical technology company, an award winning online arts & culture magazine, and Brooke Hall Creative. Justin is also a well respected writer and musician.

Founder Brooke Hall and partner Justin Allen are cultural creatives with interests in sustainable practice, community engagement and cultural development. They started a magazine to tell the positive stories in Baltimore called What Weekly. Brooke Hall Creative is a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) in Baltimore City.
